چکیده

The content of Cu2+ in lubricants is an essential indicator for determining the quality lubricant and predicting mechanical failure. Finding effective sensitive method detecting great importance oil monitoring. In this work, AgInS2 (AIS) AgInS2-ZnS (ZAIS) nanoparticles (NPs) were synthesized by a simple one-step approach via in-situ surface modification oleylamine. as-synthesized AIS ZAIS NPs exhibit good dispersion stability various apolar media. photoluminescence (PL) as lubricating additives could reflect monitor lubrication state steel-copper pairs due to quenching effect from friction process. With optimum concentration 0.5 wt% paraffin oil, coefficient at 100 N was decreased 56.8 52.1% steel-steel contacts, respectively. observed be more than improving anti-wear (AW) extreme pressure (EP) properties, with load-bearing capacity up 1100 N. Characterization wear tracks SEM XPS indicates that tribofilm composed metal sulfides oxides formed during This work not only reveals new class promising candidates but also unveils their potential monitoring conditions exploring service life.

Controlling the optical and structural properties of ZnS–AgInS2 nanocrystals by using a photo-induced process

ZnS-AgInS2 (ZAIS) solid-solution nanocrystals are promising materials for nanophotonic devices in the visible region because of their low toxicity and good emission properties. We developed a technique of photo-induced synthesis to control the size and composition of the ZAIS nanocrystals. This method successfully decreased the defect levels, as well as the size and size variation of ZAIS nanoc...

Labeling and in vivo visualization of transplanted adipose tissue-derived stem cells with safe cadmium-free aqueous ZnS coating of ZnS-AgInS2 nanoparticles

The facile synthesis of ZnS-AgInS2 (ZAIS) as cadmium-free QDs and their application, mainly in solar cells, has been reported by our groups. In the present study, we investigated the safety and the usefulness for labeling and in vivo imaging of a newly synthesized aqueous ZnS-coated ZAIS (ZnS-ZAIS) carboxylated nanoparticles (ZZC) to stem cells. ZZC shows the strong fluorescence in aqueous solu...

Engineered silica nanoparticles as additives in lubricant oils

Silica nanoparticles (SiO2 NPs) synthesized by the sol-gel approach were engineered for size and surface properties by grafting hydrophobic chains to prevent their aggregation and facilitate their contact with the phase boundary, thus improving their dispersibility in lubricant base oils. The surface modification was performed by covalent binding of long chain alkyl functionalities using lauric...

Bifunctional hairy silica nanoparticles as high-performance additives for lubricant

Bifunctional hairy silica nanoparticles (BHSNs), which are silica nanoparticles covered with alkyl and amino organic chains, were prepared as high-performance additives for lubricants. Compared with hairy silica nanoparticles covered by a single type of organic chain, binary hairy silica nanoparticles exhibit the advantages of both types of organic chains, which exhibit excellent compatibility ...
